Specialty training has become an increasingly sought-after goal for many general dental practitioners wanting to develop in the field. Showcasing one’s commitment towards continuous clinical/academic training and one’s dedication and passion towards the field is a crucial step in getting accepted. This is why basic skills related to presenting a thorough curriculum vitae, personal statement and being able to do well in interviews are all very important. This course will cover applying to various programs which include programs in Kuwait through the Kuwait Institute of Medical Specialization, applying to courses in the United Kingdom and the United States. Attendees will have the opportunity to present their current CVs for assessment and comments, including a session on different ways to improve their CVs, working on personal statements and finally interviewing skills, which will include a mock interview session for all the attendees.
